Romana Castillo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 5, 2017.

Romana was born to Felix and Maurella (Fabian) Silvestre on October 16, 1919 and grew up in Piddig, Llocos Norte, Philippines. She earned her degree as a teacher from Philippine Normal College. She married Alex J. Castillo in 1942. Tired of moving from one place to another due to the nature of Alex’s job, she decided to settle down in her hometown of Piddig with her daughters. Credit is given to her for raising her five daughters well. In 1973 she migrated to the United States of America, and Alex followed suit. In the U.S., she enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling with her family. In her spare time, she indulged in gardening, reading, and watching game shows.

In behalf of my sisters Mg Tina, Mg Fe, Mila and Chato please accept our appreciation for all you have done for us to ease and alleviate the pain of losing our very very beloved and dearest Mamang Romana Silvestre Castillo . To all the relatives and friends who called, texted and sent messages via FB,came prayed with us the 9- day prayer for the dead, came to the 2- day wake, attended the church services , and offeredHoly masses we can't thank you enough for all the show of care, love and support during this tremendously difficult time. The hugs , the words of comfort, the shoulders to lean and cry on and all the expressions of care are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten because they are part of our Mamang's memory that will forever be in our hearts and in our mind. We truly feel bless for having you all, we may not thank you enough and can't repay all the goodness you all have done for us , so we pray that the almighty Lord will. God bless us all.
