Romie(Pete) Grayson Robbins

Romie Grayson (Pete) Robbins passed away on July 10, 2022 at the UMSMC in Easton. He was born in Cambridge on November 14, 1935 and was the late son of Romie Robbins and Lillian Tall Robbins.

Mr. Robbins attended schools in Dorchester County. In 1956 he married Nancy Spear Robbins and recently celebrated a 66 year anniversary in June. He worked at Cambridge Wire Cloth after graduating school.

In 1960 he moved to Linkwood with his wife and 2 year old daughter Toni. He would later became Postmaster of the Linkwood Post Office until he retired in 1991.

Pete enjoyed hunting and doing taxidermy work for many years and later took up wood craving birds to keep him busy.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Robbins of Linkwood, three children, Toni Jean Alexander, Jeffrey Robbins, Gregory Robbins Sr and wife Heather. Four grandchildren, Gregory Robbins Jr. and wife (Jordan), Victoria Glessner and husband (Justin), Taylor Spedden and Emily Robbins. Two great grandchildren Waylon Romie Robbins and Waverly Reese Robbins. He is preceded in death by his first grandson Wayne Robbins.

A celebration of life will be held on August 12th at the American Legion Post 91 Cambridge Md at 5pm. Casual event for fellowship and reflection.
