Truly enjoyed working with and skiing with Ron. There were no great circle routes in his life, just point the way and go.

Ron's friends and fellow aviators on 445 AW(F) Sqn, RCAF, wish him well and smooth flying as he takes up his new duties as one of God's co-pilots. He will be truly missed by all of us who ever had the pleasure of his company, flying alongside in the skies of Europe in the defense of the western world during the "Cold War" and kibitzing at squadron reunions over many years.
Sincerest condolences to his wife, Pat and the "kids": Colleen, Scott and Jill.

On behalf of 418 (City of Edmonton) Squadron Association and all former members, we respect that Ron has slipped the surly bonds of earth, and our condolence go to Pat, family and Ron's, many friends and associates. As a former RCAF Squadron commander with close links to 418 SQN and a complement of many young Officers, Ron epitomized the Air Force maxim of being an Officer and Gentleman. His leadership, mentorship and wisdom are well known and recognized within the Air Force group.

Dear Pat and family
David and I were so sorry to learn of Ron's death. His beautifully written obituary reminded us of his many qualities--he was a gem. Although many years have passed since we last saw Ron and you, we have great memories of the wonderful get-togethers with neighbours and friends in St. Albert. Ron had such a great sense of humour.
Sending you our prayers and deepest condolences.

So sorry to learn, not only of Ron's passing, but of his final days. A true gentleman whom I had the pleasure of working with for an all too short period in 1985. I will always remember his words of encouragement and inspiration as I went through a difficult time - which as he predicted, I would rise above successfully. The obituary truly captured the kind, generous human being that he was. My condolences to his family.
