Frances Marie Muse Alexander transitioned to her Heavenly home on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. She was born March 5, 1934 to the late Sadie Margaret Muse and Raymond Muse Sr. in Draper ,Va.
Frances graduated from Lucy Addison High School in Roanoke, Va. She attended a Vocational College where she received her Nursing Assistant License. Frances worked for several Nursing Homes in Roanoke area while she worked at V.A.M.C in Salem, VA until she retired. Frances was a Faithful member of Melrose S.D.A Church of Roanoke where she was a Usher, Community Service worker and Deaconess, member of Health and Temperance and loved doing Arts & Crafts with the Vacation Bible School.
Frances loved making lamps and hanging baskets and towel holder from Macrame and Crocheting. She was great seamstress . She would sat down on her sewing machine and whip up 3 matching suits for herself and Jeannie Lynn and Bubs, some people would say “ there goes the Partridge Family” and they would jump in her convertible and with her Best Friend Roxie who was just like a sister and take off to see her sister Sonja who lived in Hampton at the time. Frances always believed ”spare the rod, spoil the child!” She would be walking in a room and all the nieces and nephews would say “Here comes Aunt Frances and you know she don’t play” She loved her family and her kids dearly and worked sometimes 2-3 jobs just so they would have the very best. She lived out her last years with her daughter Jeannie Lynn and son-in-law Jason, who after his retirement from the military took excellent care of her which allowed his wife to continue to work. She lived a long and Blessed life and was loved dearly and will be terribly missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Ann Muse-Harris.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her daughter Jeannie Lynn (Jason) Winston of Hampton, VA. A son Cedric Franchot (Tracy) Alexander of Newport News, Va.
