I'm so thankful that I was blessed to have you as an uncle. You were always a phone call away!! I loved you because you loved my dada. I always said that anyone who could deal with Feeman was God sent!!Even after I lost my dad you was still there for my mom and I Whenever I would make honor roll you would take me to Service Merchandise and buy me a ring.I feel so bad because I had not talked to you since June. I love you Rest In Peace.

My condolences to Mrs Bates and the rest of the Bates family. Mr Bates was very kind to me and I really appreciate that. He spoke about his children and grand children often. He truly loved his family.

An additional note: I will always remember what a real father Mr. Bates was! Even though he and Dee Dee were divorced many years ago, I will always remember thinking, wow he was always present in his kids lives. I was somewhat envious because mine was not as involved in mine! He was always there for as long as I can remember for his family and I find that "EXCEPTIONAL!" He was a real Father, Dad and a wonderful man!
