I just learned of Ron's passing in the Cross & Crescent of Lambda Chi Alpha. I knew Ron as a great brother and a good friend. We will be missed. My sincerest condolences.

My deepest condolences to the all the family, especially to Sue, Beth, Emily & Jason. Ron/your Dad and the rest of your family were a special part of my childhood. I will hold Ron's memory in the highest regard as I do my own father's memory. They are both looking down & watching over us.

Ron was the break-in officer for my late husband, Adolfo Hernandez, when he became a Highway Patrolman. Years later, after my husband was killed on duty, Ron, Sue, Beth, Emily and Jason became our neighbors. I bought a house which was "coincidentally" down the street from theirs. I believe God had me buy that house so that the Beers family and mine would be part of each others' lives. Our children played together and Ron and my husband, John, became good friends, too. John called him "Cousin Ron" with the deepest of affection. When he was a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary church, Ron donated his time, talent (as a lector and haunted house builder) and treasure generously. He has left tender footprints on our hearts.

"Ron's work with the California Highway Patrol will be remembered by all of us who worked at the Los Angeles Communications Center. His dedication and talent paved the way for all of the Dispatch points in California to move to the 21st century with a Computer Aided Dispatch system. He taught me so much and I have and will admire him always."

Ron was the first person my sister and I met after moving to Fresno July 3, 1968. It was that evening while we were leaning against a garage door of an empty house our father built on Vartikian Ave. that Ron drove by in his CHP cruiser. He stopped to check things out and thus began a friendship lasting over 40 years. We, as was anyone who knew him, were proud to call him a friend. He had a heart of gold. He helped and enjoyed our family many times in many ways over many years. We will miss Jr.

Ron was a very special person. He is in a better place now, no longer suffering, and will forever be living in sheer happiness with Our Lord.
He will be missed. Ron has touched the hearts of every person who has gotten the privilege to know him.
