In Loving Memory of Ronald Lee Branish

July 7, 1940 - July 2, 2025

Ronald Lee Branish passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, just a few days before his 85th birthday. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was a man of strong values, known for his honesty, dedication, and love for others. He lived a life full of purpose, always putting his family, community, and country first. He graduated from Penn State University, where he was part of the ROTC program and began developing his leadership skills. Ronald proudly served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Henderson during the Vietnam War. His bravery and commitment to service were a true reflection of his character.

After his time in the Navy, Ronald began his career at KPMG, where he built a strong foundation in accounting and finance. He later joined Gary Energy, where he held several key roles-including Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and eventually President-demonstrating his leadership, financial expertise, and dedication. He concluded his career as Chief Financial Officer at Craig Hospital, where his work made a lasting difference.

Ronald's greatest joy was his family. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Linda, and was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Linda Branish; his son Todd Branish, and Todd's children, TJ and Tyler; his son Mark Branish and Mark's wife, Lesley, along with their children, Megan, Max, and Wyatt; and his son Scott Branish and Scott's wife, Suzanna, and their children, Evie, Cayden, and Jake. Ronald was one of four siblings and was preceded in death by his father John Branish, mother Elizabeth Branish, brothers Edward and John, and sister Millie.

He cared deeply about giving back and supported many organizations, including the Craig Hospital Foundation, Brothers Redevelopment, Boy Scouts of America, Yampa Valley Medical Center, and the Anchor Center for Blind Children.

Some of Ron's favorite places were Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and Leech Lake in Minnesota, where he enjoyed time with family and the outdoors. He loved skiing, golf, and especially attending and supporting his grandchildren's sporting events, which brought him great pride and joy.

A celebration of life will be held on August 5th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the home of Mark and Lesley Branish, located at 5901 S Happy Canyon Drive, Englewood, CO 80111.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Craig Hospital Foundation in Ronald's memory.

Ronald will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

I am saddened by the news of Ron's passing. I knew Ron for nearly all of my professional career and over that time he became a dear friend and mentor to me. He was a wonderful person with a great heart for those around him. My prayers for Linda, Scott, Mark and Todd. Here is a picture from an evening we spent at Lion King together.

Ron's neighbors on Pike's Peak Court in Stoney Brook are tremendously saddened by Ron's passing. He was a valued friend of our cul-de-sac, actively participating in our post-covid "meetings" where his life stories entertained us for many years. He and Linda graciously hosted us on numerous occasions and his infectious laugh made our bad jokes bearable. His presence will be sadly missed.

Very sorry to hear of Ron's passing, may he RIP. I am a first cousin to Ron, daughter of Michael & Agnes Branish in Syracuse, NY Marilyn Branish Bulriss. My father (born 1909 was very close to Ron's father John as he was just 18 months older than him. But since we lived in Syracuse & they in Penn, never got to meet the entire family.
