December 4, 1958 - October 4, 2025

Jonesport, Maine

Ronald Duane Carver, 66, of Jonesport, passed away peacefully at Eastern Maine Medical Center on October 4, 2025, after a brief illness.

Ronnie was born on December 4, 1958, in Jonesport, Maine, to Rosalie and Calvert Carver. A proud 1977 graduate of Jonesport-Beals High School, he was active in town team sports, playing both basketball and softball.

Ronnie was a lifelong fisherman and the proud captain of his fishing vessel, Mr. T. He began his career worming, clamming, and working on supply boats serving offshore oil rigs before returning home to fish alongside his father. In time, he captained his own boat, continuing the legacy of hardworking watermen in his family.

In addition to life on the water, Ronnie was a skilled carpenter and a true jack-of-all-trades-someone you could always count on to fix or build just about anything.

In 1990, Ronnie married the love of his life, Lisa, and together they raised their son, Terrell, who was the pride and joy of his life.

Ronnie found happiness in simple pleasures and the company of good friends. The Wigwam and the Back Forty were two of his favorite places to unwind and held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed golfing, dancing, fly fishing, hunting, and playing cornhole at The Barn-always with a laugh and a story to tell.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa, and their son, Terrell Carver. He also leaves behind his brothers Billy Blackwood and Steven Carver, and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Blackwood, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Randy Blackwood, and his parents, Rosalie and Calvert Carver.

Ronnie will be remembered for his big heart, sharp wit, and the deep love he held for his family and community. He lived life on his own terms-with salt in his blood and kindness in his soul.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport, on October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

He will be missed.

My very deepest condolences and heart felt sympathies to the friends and family of this great man. I too will miss Ronnie. I will miss our conversations with his sometimes funny and witty comebacks. I didn't see him around a lot, but I always knew he was my friend. It was always good to see him and to talk with him for a bit...
