Ronald Conger, Sr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 3, 2025.
Ronald J. Conger, Sr., age 76, passed away on May 20, 2025 surrounded by family. Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Patricia Conger; his four children, Kristine (Mike) Gates, Chantel Mark, Ronald J. (Kristy) Conger, and Cory (Calli) Conger; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Craig and Joel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Florence Conger; his brother, Alan; and grandchildren, Kelly and Alexis.

Ron had a great smile, an easy laugh, and made friends wherever he went. A gifted athlete, he found lifelong purpose in baseball, both playing and coaching with passion and heart. He proudly coached his sons in baseball, football, and basketball, leaving lasting impressions on and off the field.

His life's work was building and fixing things. After constructing homes in the 1980s, he worked as a mechanic at Tooele Army Depot. When the base closed, he returned to the construction and materials industry, retiring in 2015.

Ron found true joy in the outdoors - camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, and exploring the West. He was happiest surrounded by family, sharing holidays, telling stories by the fire, or working on projects together.

A celebration of life will be held on July 12 in South Rim, Utah. He will be forever missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
