RONALD DEARTH Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2025.
RONALD L DEARTH, aged 74, of Riverview, FL, passed away on June 27, 2025. Born on February 9, 1951, Ron was the youngest of seven children to Edna Mae and Harold Eugene Dearth.

A respected general contractor, Ron owned and operated his own construction business for over 44 years, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to craftsmanship and community development. His professional legacy is characterized by integrity and quality, values he upheld in every project he undertook.

Ron was a quintessential outdoorsman with a profound love for hunting and the water. His days were often spent working on boats, fishing, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the ocean. An enthusiast of speed and excitement, he relished in motorcycle riding, NASCAR races, and cruising with his beloved wife, Sherry Lee Dearth, to whom he was married for 17 years.

Family was the cornerstone of Ron's life. He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. Dearth; daughter, Denielle Ann McFarland (Jay); stepsons, Keith Vos, Jr., Joshua Glotzback; stepdaughter, Christina Vos (JJ Leija); grandsons, Dalton Weeks (Tristen), Kyler Weeks, Tanner Weeks (KatieBeth), Kaleb Ochampaugh, Aden Leija; and great-grandson, Bennett Weeks. He also leaves behind his sister, MaryAnn Burnham (Larry); brother, Michael Dearth (Peggy); and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he dearly loved.

A man of faith, Ron was a devoted member of the First Christian Church in Sun City Center. His commitment to his community extended beyond his professional and personal life into numerous charitable endeavors. He was particularly passionate about St. Baldrick's Children's Cancer Research and supporting local children's events, reflecting his deep care for the well-being of others.

A service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held at the First Christian Church Sun City Center on July 19, 2025, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ron can be made to Alzheimer's Research, Dementia Research, or St. Baldrick's Cancer Research, supporting causes that were close to his heart and reflective of his lifelong dedication to helping others.

He had a big heart and always stood up for his beliefs. He did his best to keep me out of trouble for 20 years, and I aspire to be as rock solid in character as Ron. I'm thankful for the memories

Ron was a man who knew no strangers. We met him ( and Sherry) on a NASCAR tour bus here in Charlotte. Over the years we became great friends. We enjoyed their visits here when we would go to the NASCAR Roval. So much fun!We will miss him always. With love, Luther and Peggy

Missing my best friend and husband! RIP! I am at peace knowing that he is whole again! Alzheimer's is an awful disease, and I pray no one else has to go through it.

Go rest high on that mountain, Ron! Enjoy the fishing, family, and friends that are already in heaven with you! I will see you on the other side - love you always and forever!
