Ronald DeMello, 90, of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at The Oaks. He was the husband of the late Kathleen (De Forge) DeMello.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Manuel and Johanna (Costa) DeMello.
Mr. DeMello retired from the New Bedford School Department in grounds maintenance. He previously worked for Ron DeMello Trucking and as a tree surgeon for Munson Tree Service.

Ronald's family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks and MasterPeace Home Health Care for their care and compassion.

Surviving children are, David DeMello and wife Lori, Deborah Manzone and husband Richard, Rhonda McIntosh and husband Craig Santos, Karyn Labonte and husband Stephen, Karen LaFrance and Stacy Barboza; a brother, Edward DeMello; a sister, Marjorie Rezendes; a Godchild, Cheryl Ann DeMello; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Ronald "Butch" DeMello, Jr. and a sister, Ruth Ann Correa.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 9-11am with a Funeral Service at 11am at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by burial in Cushing Cemetery, Mendell Rd., Mattapoisett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org
