RONALD CLIFFORD GLEASON, 76

Ronald Clifford Gleason, 76, entered eternal peace on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, at the home of his son, Edward Colvin.

Ronald was born January 25, 1948, in Burbank, California to Dorothy Oleson Gleason and James Frederick Gleason of Granada Hills, Ca.

He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Ronald attended High School at Granada Hills High School, graduating in 1966. Ronald lived in Southern California his entire life, living in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita, Ca.

Ronald found the love of his life and married his "forever" partner, Bretta "Betty" Keck, on July 24, 1979. They brought into the family 5 children, Theresa, Kellie, Edward, Donny, and Brian, whom they both considered their own and loved very much.

As a youngster, Ronald held many jobs, but most notably, Ronald was employed as an Asset Protection Agent/Specialist by Rupert Murdoch from 1985-1995, and then worked for the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences in North Hollywood from 1995-2009.

Ronald was an avid baseball enthusiast, and a great fan of the California Angels growing up. He continued his admiration of the Angels his entire life and was an inspiration in sports for his boys and grandchildren, specifically baseball. Ronald was the first person to play catch with his son Edward, and his grandsons Brandon and Daniel. Ronald also enjoyed visits with his sisters, Karen Gleason McCoy and Carol Gleason Catt, who reside in Colorado. Ronald cherished being around his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren and all their accomplishments.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Bretta, his parents Dorothy and James Gleason, and his nephew, Clint Petersitzke.

Ronald leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his sisters Karen Gleason McCoy and Carol Gleason Catt of Colorado, his sons Donald Gleason, of Galt, Ca. and Brian Gleason of DeSoto, Illinois, Edward Colvin of Granada Hills, Ca. and Lanny Dunn of St. Louis, MO. His Daughters Theresa Pierce Townsend of Ojai, Ca. and Kellie Pierce Schneider of Surprise, Arizona.

Ronald also leaves behind his beautiful daughters-in-law, Karen Rothenberger Gleason, of Galt, Ca., Jennifer Frank Colvin of Granada Hills, Ca. and Lisa Shelton Gleason of DeSoto, Ill. Son in laws, Joshua Townsend of Ojai, Ca., George Lloyd, Sr. of Las Vegas, NV. and Stephan Schneider of Surprise, AZ.

Ronald also leaves behind his nieces, Laura Aschenbrenner, Amy Catt Kassal, and Amanda Catt Kassal, from Colorado.

Ronald had many grandchildren that he loved and cherished and took pride in watching them grow up into adulthood. They are Conor Gleason, Brennan Gleason, Keyli Gleason,

Gaige Shelton, Jessica Lloyd, Jadine Lloyd, Jaime Lloyd, George Lloyd Jr., Hunter Schneider, Stephanie Schneider, Daniel Schneider, Brandon Colvin, and Emily Colvin, including 14 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on March 8th, 2025, between 11am-3pm, in memory of Ronald, for family and friends, at the Summit Clubhouse in Valencia, California. The address is 24600 Del Monte Dr. Valencia, California 91355.
