Ronald Grimm, 85, of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 21, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital after a two-year period of declining health. Born on June 11, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charles and Lillian Grimm.

Ronald attended Allegheny High School before serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge from 1956 to 1960. Upon returning home, he pursued the family trade of river transportation, which became his lifelong career. He owned and operated Lashell Inc.-River Transportation from 1979 to 2003. Following the closure of Lashell, Ronald continued his work in the industry with Bartley Marine Transportation and later joined the Operating Engineers Local 66. His dedication to his profession was evident as he worked until his retirement at the age of 79.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings; and his granddaughter, Ashley Grimm. He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Dorothy Grimm, whom he married on July 13, 1957. He also leaves behind two sisters, Norma Giavonnia and Debbie McKinley; four sons: Ronald (Cheryl), David, Charles, and Robert (Marcie) Grimm; nine grandchildren: Ronald, Ryan, Riley, Jimmy, Davey, Cale, Zachary, and Robert; as well as seven great-grandchildren: Ronnie, Harper, Ella Jo, Brayden, Dustin, Avery, and Eleanor.

Ronald's life was defined by hard work and unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy will endure through the many lives he touched. Private services will be held with family.

Going to miss you Ronnie. You always were able to make me laugh and put a smile on my face.
One of the many pictures of our family outings, this one was when you and Dot took me out for my birthday. Such great memories were made that last forever. I was privileged to have you as my brother in law. Gone but never forgotten
