Just learned today of Ron’s passing from a mutual high school friend. I remember Ronnie from our Bookkeeping class at Burroughs High in 1964. He was on the football team and always shared stories about team strategies. He was so much fun and made class something we all looked forward to. Wish we could have kept in touch over the years. Deepest Condolences to his family.

I have not talked to my friend in several months and now I know why. I knew he was not well after his surgery. Something told me to come here and retrieve his number off the internet. My dear funny friend, we met on the bike path years ago, and he always made me laugh. I met his daughter, her boyfriend, and Ron's brother from out of state. Bless you my dear funny friend. I am sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I played softball against him for years in the Burbank A league. Bob Knollmiller, a team mate on the Blarney Stone team with me and I still talk about Ron to this day because Ron provided us with loads of funny memories(and yes, he was a good ballplayer as well as a funny guy).
Thanks for the memories, Ron.

I'm very sad to hear about Coach Grunden's passing. He was one of my favorite football coaches when I was at John Burroughs High School. He brought out the best in us players with his knowledge, toughness and strong work ethic. He had a great laugh and and an even greater sense of humor. He leaves behind some very fond memories of my time growing up in Burbank. I truly miss him.
