Placida - I just learned of Ron´s passing when I went looking for your address. I am so sorry for what must be an indescribable loss. You were always such a loving and devoted mother. He was lucky to have had you as his Mom.

Jim and I are thinking of you and sending much love your way.

Never had the pleasure of meeting or spending time with Ron but from what I have been told he was an honorable, loving, caring man with a passion for surfing. What I can say is he did a great job with Joyce raising young Ron, he has become a strong loving man and as they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I hope you are at peace and I will do what I can to watch over Ron, Joyce and Jennifer, I know they are missing you beyond measure. E ho`omaha me ka maluhia.

Had the pleasure of working with Ron at the port. He was an amazing person and had lots of fascinating stories. I will miss him very much as I did since I left Florida. RIP buddy.

My name is Emily and I am a niece of Ron Johnson. My mom is Catherine, which is one of Rons´ sisters. I never got to spend much time with him as an adult but the time we spent together when I was young meant a lot. He was always the "cool- surfer uncle" which I told everyone I had. Last November was his Mom´s, my Grandmas, 90th birthday party and I hosted it at my home in Southern California. Uncle Ron, Aunt Joyce, Cousin Ronnie and Jen were able to make it out for the fiesta! I was so happy and excited to be around all of them. This is one of the pictures I will always cherish and have to remember my Uncle.

Was very sad the hear of Ron's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ron at Port Canaveral. He was a Terminal Lead for our department. You could alway count on Ron. And yes, he was good at herding people.
Rest in peace brother!

Ron was a great human being, straight to the point, kind, giving and respectful. I had the pleasure of working with him at Port Canaveral where we chatted about work life, personal life and the lives we hoped to have down the road. He shared his life lessons with me and always cheered me on to help make things better for our department. Hearing about his passing today truly hurt my heart and I pray for his friends and family during this difficult time. God Bless Ron! We´ll see each other again my friend.
