Ronald LOFTHOUSE Obituary

Published by Windsor Star on Nov. 29, 2017.
LOFTHOUSE, Ronald
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a very special man. Ronald Lofthouse entered peacefully into his eternal rest on November 25, 2017. Beloved husband and best friend of Maryanne with whom he recently celebrated forty years of marriage. He was born in Lachine, Quebec, the son of the late Fannie and Fred Lofthouse; predeceased by his brothers Peter and George. Ron had a long career of forty-one years in the airline industry, retiring as General Manager of Sales and Operations for Air Canada in Windsor. He enjoyed many sports. As a young man he played Junior A hockey in Montreal, skied and played golf all over North America and Europe and was a long standing member of Beach Grove Golf and Country Club. This kind and gentle man will be greatly missed by his extended family and dear friends. Wonderful winters were spent on St. Simons Island, Ga. Where Ron golfed at Brunswick Country Club and enjoyed happy times with old and new friends. His was a life well lived with no regrets. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan and Ouellette Campuses for their compassionate care. In accordance with Ron's wishes, a private service is planned with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a memorial donation, please do so to the charity close to your heart.
