Ronald Lee Mallonee

Ronald "Ron" Lee Mallonee, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on June 10, 1939, in Compton, California, he was the son of Lynn C. and Gwendolyn D. Mallonee (née Ness).

Ron began his career in the aerospace and electronics industry, working with computers at Northrop Nortronics and Rockwell International. In 1975, he relocated his family to Oregon, where he began a new job and earned his electrician's license. He went on to work at Publisher's Paper Mill (later known as Smurfit and Blue Heron) and concluded his career at Portland General Electric (PGE) before retiring.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ron served faithfully in the Colton Ward, Molalla Ward, and Canby 3rd Ward (Oregon City, Oregon Stake), and most recently in the Lakes Ward (West Richland Stake).

He is survived by his loving wife, Lindy Mallonee, and his children: Steve Mallonee, Susan Mallonee-Heuer (Gary), Connie Mallonee, Lorinda Mallonee, Cheryl Aarseth (Chris), Julie Mallonee, Chad Gibson (Joylinn), Stacy Davis, Kendra Gibson, and Brad Mallonee (Laura). He also leaves behind twenty-three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as his brother, Lynn Mallonee.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Potts.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, with viewing at 2:00 p.m. and services at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 3701 Watkins Way, West Richland, WA 99353.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ron's name to the Amyloidosis Research Consortium or the Amyloidosis Foundation, in honor of his life and his courageous battle with the disease.

Ron's legacy lives on in the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
