Ronnie was born September 25, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, son of the late Ronald Edward Morris and William (Bill) Sauls and Jean Hall Sauls. Ronnie was a graduate of Columbia High School in 1982. He then served in the United States Marines from 1983 to 1987 as a radio operator. He was on the USS Austin in 1985, Mediterranean Deployment with 22nd Marine Amphibious Unit. On USS Iwo Jima in April, 1986 for a deployment to Vieques (Island off of Puerto Rico). His Amphibious landing on that island was filmed and used in the Movie, Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood. All of these deployments were with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines, Communications Company.
After his separation from the USMC, he attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and became a Professional Engineer in 2001. Ronnie’s passions were running, singing, fossil hunting, soaking up the sun and had a gift of telling amazing stories. He passionately loved Carolina Football and his alma mater, Carolina Gamecocks, but one of his greatest joys in life was simply being with his family.
He is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 31 years, Linda Farnsworth Morris, mother, Jean Hall Sauls, brother, Tim Morris; his three daughters, Mackenzie Morris, Anna Morris (Kyle), Viktoria Morris; two grandchildren that he adored, William Baker and Olivia Blake and his extended family.
