Mr. Ronald Potter, age 72 years, resident of Academy Drive, passed away peacefully at TBRHSC on October 22nd, 2016. Born and raised in Port Arthur; he was employed as a pipefitter with Local 628 and retired after several years of service. Ron enjoyed his many trips to the casino and enjoyed gambling and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5. Ron is survived by his wife Darlene, daughter Sandra Freeman, son John (Deanne) Potter, grandchildren Christopher and Riley Freeman and Hailey Benwell. He is also survived by his brother Chuck (Lee) Amor of Chilliwack, BC and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Slovak Legion on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 from 1:00pm- 3:00pm. A private interment will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
