I have already written on these pages, but Ron Rabin was the finest colleague among 100s that I ever had...I still have my great e-mail exchanges I had with him. What a tremendous friend. What an unthreatened academic - a rarity in the academy. A loving husband and father who 100% of the time spoke lovingly of his family, he was, need I add, a great friend. To the family & friends of Dr Ron Rabin, I was a student at Buff State and took a class called Experiences Speech in the Fall of '78. His challenging instruction provided me with the techniques I used after graduation to lead me in my efforts to become a successful salesman. I have thought about him often and shared the stories with many over the years of his guidance and being able to speak in front of a crowd. I was looking through my yearbook today when I came across his picture and thought I'd try to look him up to share my appreciation. Sadly, I found this site and learned of his passing. I was happy to see he was a Cal Graduate as our son completed his studies there in 2012. Roll on you Bears! Thank you Dr. Ron Rabin!

Pat, it has been a while but I always think kindly of our many memories. Ron was exceptional, as was Arlene in her own and different way. So many years, I wish you and yours well. I'll be 78 next week and am reminiscing, and enjoying it. Luckily I have been with Terry Casella for nearly forty years and we do well. Best from us both, Harris

I didn't know about Ron's passing until just now...is their any way to send Pat a note? Ron was one of the finest people I have ever know. This is devastating. Rick Vatz [email protected]

I was sorry to hear recently about Ron's passing in February. Ron was a true friend to me in our Peace Corps days. I loved his honesty, intelligence, and humor. He never let me off the hook! Although I last saw him and Pat in April 1970 in Chicago, he has always been a vivid presence, one person whose strength of character has stayed with me to this day. Thank you, Ron. Many blessings for you. Pat. Sincerely, John

Gosh, I moved out of town and was searching online for Ron's address when I came across his obituary. I haven't talked to him in 20 years, but I wanted to send him a note to let him know how much he meant to me as a mentor and friend. He was the best teacher and mentor I ever had and helped me fine tune my public speaking and writing skills. He was a renaissance man and I loved that about him. I remember that he always talked so lovingly about his daughter Amy. Rest in Peace Ron. I appreciate all that you did for me. Anne

So sorry to read of Professor Rabin's passing. He taught me so much while in public speaking. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember his classes at Buff State. I think of him when someone mentions "the dangly thing in the back of your throat"...professor Rabin told us it's your uvula! Just a silly thing that always stuck with me.
