Smitty would always tell me dont hold the ransome while going to go get a coffee while I was a apprentice. He got me reading the old westerns which I still do . He always talked highly of his wife and kids and step kids which I always respected him for .And of course of the poems from the phantom took a lil while to figure it was coming from smitty . God bless ya Smitty we will all miss ya ...

Ron was the young brother that I never had, a joy to be with both on and off the golf course.
We'll meet again some day, your buddy Ralph.

Sorry to learn of Ronald's death. I worked with Ron for almost 30 years as a Tool and Die maker. Ron was a pleasure to work with. Ron was a master at writing poems to suit any subject. Many of his poems made the Tool Room bulletin board. Ron was an excellent golfer also. Rest in peace Ron.
