Ronald Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 2 to Jan. 12, 2023.
Ronald (RJ) is the first-born from the union of Ardena Layne & Ronald Taylor.
RJ shared a special bond with little sister Alayne; and also was known for his signature "knock you over hugs."
He accepted Christ at the age of 6 and was active in church, youth events, sports & camps.
After graduating from PV High School in 2013, he pursued a Computer Science degree. In his spare time, he participated in various gaming, car, racing & drift clubs. RJ met Rachel Teel at a gaming event in Irvine, CA.
The couple moved to Tennessee in 2019 and planned to marry later this year.
RJ was an avid gamer. BLISK (his gamer tag) had teammates & opponents all over the world.
Family & friends will greatly miss his IT knowledge and car buying expertise.
On December 21, 2022, RJ was driving to work when he was involved in an auto accident near Clarksville, TN. He did not survive his injuries.
RJ leaves his mother Ardena Layne, RPV, CA; sister Alayne Taylor, Seattle, WA; maternal grandmother Ilene Layne, uncle James Layne, aunt Phillena Layne, KC, MO; paternal grandfather Charles Taylor, Sr, uncle Charles Taylor, Jr, aunt Tari Lucky, Longview, TX; fiancée' Rachel Teel, Clarksville, TN and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by brother Blake Josiah Taylor, father Ronald E. Taylor, maternal grandfather, Rev Phillip A. Layne and paternal grandmother Mary E. Taylor.
Services will be held held Thursday, January 5th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at The Historic Church at Green Hills Memorial Park in RPV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary contributions towards a permanent memorial in RJ's honor. Venmo: RJ Taylor Memorial Fund @RJTaylorMemFund

I just remember how smart and quiet RJ was and how he cared about his mother and sister..

Our beautiful RJ, your name came across my screen and I had to stop and pause as I went down memory lane...Then I clicked the link to see your face and I saw your eyes and smiled... then came the tears... because I had to tell you, what you already know and that is just how much you are loved, missed and permanently placed inside our hearts. I saw your mom & Anthony earlier in the year and her smile and eyes continue to shine... but her heart is always with you. She is doing ok, as is your sister Alayna and loved ones, yet the spirit still yearns for what wasn't meant to be because God had other plans. Like my bonus-son Jawaun who gained his wings on his 23 birthday in 2010 due to an accidental drowning, I believe God chose each of you to be an example for all of the many children that had to make their way to heaven ... early ... so you could hold their hands and show them the way to paradise ... Both of you are wonderful examples of Gods Grace with an abundance of love and favor that was sprinkled over you, when you born, when you lived here with us and blessings that continue, now that you are singing with the angels. I also lost my mom this year, so this adjustment has not been easy... so my Dearest RJ, due me a favor and give my mom a big hug & kiss for me :) I am sure she will smile and immediately hug you back... tightly... and then send a wink and a kiss down to your mom, sister and me... As we prepare to move into this new year, please continue to pray for all of us on earth ( we need it) and we will continue to miss you, have a tear or two, smile, sing your praises, and feel grateful for the gift of you...because you are the ultimate gift of God's love... and that love will continue now and into eternity ... when we will see you once again and celebrate with alllllllll of our heavenly loved ones! God Bless you baby.... sorry this is so long , but as I get older, I become more sentimental...and my heart was full....Miss you RJ, keep smiling! Love you, always and forever, Melanie, Jay, Mommy in Heaven, Dad and our family... too (PS ... Just announced: President Jimmy Carter earned his wings today... he was a great soul too.. so expect the celebration to continue as he joins his wife and all of you! )
Also don't worry about your mom or your sister too much, we have her lifted up in ongoing prayers and with Anthony by her side, family & loved ones forever by her side, she will remain strong and joyful... plus she would have it no other way.... that's your mom and my beautiful sister Dena!!! :)

Our Dearest Ardena & Alayna, my heart continues to break as I think of this devastating news regarding the loss of RJ. Through tears I ask that God continues to lift you up and hold you tight as you both try to find your way through this tragic time. Dena & Alayna you remain in our thoughts and prayers! And RJ as he watches from heaven, will simply nestle into & massage your aching hearts with love as he continues to hold your hands & guide you through this life with his beautiful smile .... now and into eternity... We send our love! Love always, your sister and brother, Melanie and Jay ( formerly from Anaheim Hills, CA) and now in Maryland.
