Ronald Wayne “Bud” Ussery, 76, of Mooresville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 14, 2018.
He was born on November 15, 1941 in Mooresville, NC, to the late Gurney Madison and Ruth Carrigan Ussery. Mr. Ussery worked at Industrial Dynamics for 23 years then retired from Philip Morris after 19 years. He attended Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. Mr. Ussery enjoyed antique shops and working on motorcycles and cars, especially driving his Corvette. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bud is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara London Ussery; daughters, Janice Goodman (Randy), Rhonda Church (Keith); brother, Larry Ussery (Pam); sisters, Marlene Gilbert (Floyd), Janice Mayhew (Winston); and grandchildren, Justin Goodman, Jason, Ashley, and Bethany Church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 16 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 17 at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Gipe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Presbyterian Church, 9425 NC Hwy 152, Mooresville, NC 28115.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Ussery family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
