Ronnie Dickens Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 14 to Nov. 15, 2015.
Dec. 24, 1967 - Nov. 10, 2015 Ronnie Dickens, age 47, of Grand Bay, AL, died November 10, 2015 in a motorcycle accident on Hwy 90 in Mobile, AL. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Jones & Son Chapel in Hattiesburg, MS. He will be remembered as a great husband and father of six. Whether it was working in the yard or making a mean "one-and-done" hamburger, Ronnie loved to be outside enjoying "quality time" with his family. His newest adventure was a 1966 Chevy Truck that he purchased to fix up with his sons. Ronnie was a jack-of-all-trades just like his dad. He was always trying to get his children and wife to help him with whatever project he was working on, so they could learn how to do it too. Ronnie was a teacher to all and a mentor to his family and all that he worked with over the years. Above all, Ronnie was a great father, who loved his family and was the glue that kept everything together. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann (Wilgus) Dickens of Grand Bay, Al; sons, Sr. Airman Joshua Brett Dickens of Layton, UT, James Tyler Dickens of Petal, Evan Dubose Dickens of Tuscaloosa, AL and Benjamin Allen Dickens of Grand Bay, AL; daughters, Maggie Taylor Dickens of Petal and Kelli Brooke Dickens of Tuscaloosa, AL; parents Jimmy and Joyce Dickens of Sumrall; and sister, Rita Mills of Crestview, FL; He was preceded in death by his brother, James Allen Dickens. He was a graduate of Sumrall High School, Class of 1985.
