MAYODAN — Ronnie Ray Mabe, 56, of 204 S. 4th Avenue, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Moses Cone Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by parents, Willie Elroy Mabe and Nellie Irene Webb Mabe and brothers, Thurman Mabe and Willie Mabe, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hopper Mabe; son, Bobby Mabe (Bernice); brothers, Tommy Mabe (Patsy), Dean Mabe, and Randy Mabe; sister, Janice Thomas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at the home of Carol Sue Mabe, 728 Rierson Rd., Madison.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
