Rosa Cordova Rojas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 29, 2025.
Rosa Maria Cordova Rojas, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 90.

She came to the United States in the late 1970s from Lima, Peru, and was determined to build a new life. With courage and perseverance, she learned English and discovered her calling in the Nutrition Department at South Shore Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida. Her dedication to her patients, her coworkers, and her family reflected the strength of her spirit.

Her story is one of bravery, sacrifice, and love, a legacy that will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her. Outside of work, she poured her heart into her garden. Tending to her plants brought her peace and joy. Her garden reflected who she was: nurturing, resilient, and full of life.

Above all, her children were her most incredible pride. She worked tirelessly to ensure they had every opportunity, encouraging them to pursue education and supporting them as they earned advanced degrees. Her sacrifices and unwavering belief in them shaped their success and provided the foundation for them to thrive.

She is survived by her husband, Humberto Cordova, her children Bert Cordova, Estela Cordova, Dr. Rosa Rousseau, Nick Cordova, William Cordova, and her grandchildren, Eric Cordova, Cesar Cordova, John Cordova, Ramon Millares, and Logan Cordova.

The family invites all who loved her to join in remembering a life well lived.

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to make something of ourselves. I know it must of been hard to leave the only country you and Dad knew to start allover again in search of the American dream. I think about you daily and miss you dearly.
