Rosalie "Mother" Johnson

Rosalie "Mother" Johnson, 93, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at home. She was born on March 31, 1924 in Myrtle, Mississippi to the late Jim Sanders and Bernice Cockrell. She then later went on to marry Woodrow W. Johnson, whom which she was married to for 58 years. They relocated their family to Aurora, Illinois in 1961 and worked as a seamstress at Flag Source. Rosalie is survived by her 9 children, Annie B. Moore of Aurora, Lonzo Johnson of Darien, IL, Charles (Leetha) Johnson of Southhaven, MS, Gloria Selmon of Aurora, Marilyn Martin of Aurora, Donnell (Pat) Johnson of Lombard, Michael Johnson of Neenah, WI, Thomas Johnson of Aurora and Trudy Johnson of Aurora; brother, James Sanders of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Mammie Beck of Baltimore, MD and a very special grandson, Christopher Johnson of Plano as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10 AM until time of service 11 AM at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
