Rosalie Myers Obituary

Rosalie C. Myers, of Jackson, MI, age 91, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007 in the care of Hospice of Jackson.
She is treasured and will be missed by her family and friends of the Monday morning bible study at Apex United Methodist. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI, daughter of Paul W. Dreyer and Mary Weaver Dreyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. Myers and two brothers, Paul and Eugene Dreyer.
She is survived by her children, Ernest P. (June) Myers of Lambertville, MI, Barry M. (Sandy) Myers of Jackson and Ziethy (Bill) Martin of Apex, NC; 13 grandchildren, Miki, Dan, Kari, Becky, Sarah, Adam, Mary, Rachael, Cameo, Amy, Mandy, Kelly and Katie; seven great- grandchildren, LeAnne, Paul, Rose, Sean, Maddie, Carly, and Isabel; three great-great-grandchildren, Summer, Dillon, and Colven; her brother, Ralph; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosalie was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jackson, MI, and of Apex United Methodist Church. She served God by helping others through these churches and other community groups, and was honored as Volunteer of the Year in Apex. She is remembered for the hugs she gave freely. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crafting, puzzles and reading. She often played cards and bingo.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Apex United Methodist Church on Tuesday July 3, 2007.
The family suggests contributions to Apex United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
