Rosalie Terry

Tulare - Rosalie Terry (Carrillo Wood), age 90, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in Visalia, California, with her husband Gene by her side. Born on July 17, 1935, in Fresno, California, Rosalie lived a long and full life marked by devotion to her family, friends and community.

Rosalie was the beloved wife of Gene Terry, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Together they built a life in Tulare centered around family and enduring companionship. She was a devoted mother to Dana Beckett (Lisa) and to her stepchildren Gina (Jim) Sousa, Patrick (Angela) Terry, and Andy Terry. Rosalie's legacy continues through her cherished granddaughter Harmony Beckett, six additional grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years.

She is also remembered fondly by her brother Gerald (Lorraine) Carrillo. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents Anne and Louie Carrillo; her stepfather Marion Wood; her son Anthony Beckett; and siblings Vivian Rebholtz, Marion Wood, George Wood, Clyde Wood, and Duane Wood.

Throughout her life, Rosalie found joy in simple pleasures. She could often be found immersed in a good book. She enjoyed volunteering for the Ag Heritage Complex and the associated farm show events. Her love of travel took her on many adventures near and far, creating lasting memories. Above all else, she treasured time spent with friends and family.

Rosalie's warmth, kindness and enduring spirit touched all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and continue to inspire generations to come. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
