Rose Mary Benjamin

Rose Mary Gardner Benjamin, 69, of 50 Mills Lane, Towanda, Pa., passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa. Rose was born in Towanda on Feb. 4, 1947, the daughter of John and Lela Buckingham Gardner. She was a graduate of Towanda High School. Rose was formerly employed by Sullcraft in Dushore for 12 years and by The Daily Review in Towanda for 30 years until her retirement. Rose enjoyed cooking and caring for her home and family.

Surviving are her husband, Norman Earle Benjamin Sr.; son, Norman Earle Benjamin Jr. of Wyalusing; sisters, Betty Pedro of New Albany, Delores (Donald) Manahan of New Albany, Beverly (Paul) Chilson of Monroeton; brother, John "Tink" (Mary) Gardner of Towanda and Florida; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her faithful canine companions, Laddie and Eva. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Anna Mae Johnston; and brothers, James Gardner and William Gardner.

A private graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the Cole Cemetery, Towanda Township, Pa., with Pastor Timothy Geiger officiating.
