She took me in when I moved to Philadelphia. She made Napolean look alive even when he wasn't. She like the posies I brought her. She was angry when I didn't return her quilt fast enough and I didn't move all her shrubs for her. But she still let me come back to visit and she gave me tea. And I knew not to let the water run while I did dishes- pro tip. Thank you Mrs. Giardine. You were a gem. My condolences to all. -Tavis

A Friend Always
February 14, 2020
Although I didn't meet Mum until her later years, she was always so witty with a great sense of humor.
I will always remember the first time I was invited to dinner with your entire loving family seated around the huge Amish made kitchen table with mum seated at the head. Her stories of the Amish man who made the table and her student "Michael" from The John Fisch School made me laugh no matter how many times she told the story. I'm sure now that she is reunited with your dad, her beloved Romeo, they are looking down smiling on all of you.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you on this day. Her life certainly is one to me celebrated.
