GLASS _ Rose Mrs. Rose Glass passed away in Medicine Hat, on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at the age of 86 years. Rose is survived by one daughter Myrene (Francis Burns) of Calgary; one son Richard (Cindy Velichko); two granddaughters, Tanis and Alexandra, all of North Vancouver, British Columbia; as well as one sister Teckla Reichert of Medicine Hat. Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by one daughter Sharon Ann in 1947, as well as her husband John in 1986. Rose was born on the family homestead near Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. She was the sixth of eight children born to Barnabas and Helaria Volk. Family and friends are invited to share in Prayers and a tribute to Rose's life at COOK SOUTHLAND FUNERAL CHAPEL, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Monday, December 30, 2002, at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (St. Mary's Church), 1250 Division Avenue S., Medicine Hat, on Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. with Father George Mariadoss, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Medicine Hat Renal Unit, c/o Medicine Hat Regional Hospital (Level 6), 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Dr. Wong, Dr. Ahmad, the dialysis team, and the nurses of 4 West for the exceptional care they provided.
