Mackman, Rose (Nee Rittberg) Passed away June 1, 2009, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Mackman. Cherished mother of Dennis (Sandra) Mackman M.D. of Parkland, FL, Gary (Barbara) Mackman M.D. of Paradise Valley, AZ and Jay (Debbie) Mackman D.D.S. of Mequon. Loving grandmother of Ryan, Chad, Darren, Whitney, Sean and Brent Mackman. Also survived by other loving relatives and dear friends. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Louis and Anna Rittberg (nee Strumthal) as well as her dear siblings, the late Helen (the late Joseph) Scarpace, the late David (the late Lillian), the late Meyer, the late Herman, and the late Sam (Carol) Rittberg. Rose was born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 23, 1922. She was raised in Milwaukee and was a long time resident of Mequon and Glendale. Rose was well known for her charitable work and was a past president of ORT America. She was co-owner and account executive of Port of Sound Audio stores. Rose's greatest love and sense of pride was her family. She steadfastly made a home for her husband Arthur, raised her three sons and proudly put all three through medical and dental school. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, at 12:30 PM, at Congregation Shalom, 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point. Burial to follow at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery, 134 S. This was a wonderful person who welcomed all in her home and heart. Rose was the epitomy of what a mother should be like, teeming with warmth, and acceptance. She will be dearly issed by all of us who were touched by her deep sense of loving kindness.
