Rose Kramer Madnick, 95, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on January 19th with her loving family by her side.

Rose was born in Waterbury where she married Bert Madnick, the love of her life. Rose and Bert were married for nearly 70 years. Together they raised their family in West Hartford, later moving to Stannard Beach in Westbrook, and wintered in Boynton Beach, FL.

Rose was a petite woman with a heart of gold, an infectious smile, and a loving demeanor. She exemplified the word "mom" with her endless love and support for her family and friends.

Along with raising her family, Rose worked as a bookkeeper for the Hartford Jewish Federation retiring in 1992.

Rose leaves behind her three children, Carole (Steven) Riccardi, Michael (Leslie Levine) Madnick, and Marc (Allene) Madnick; her grandchildren, Stacy (Rene) Ceren, Todd (Stephanie) Riccardi, Katy, Samantha, Lindsey, Julia and Jake Madnick; her great grandchildren, Brianna Ceren and Kera Thompson; her loving and wonderful sister, Harriet Meisel, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Rose was predeceased by her brothers, Willie and Joseph Kramer, and her sisters, Sallye Katrosar and Marilyn Savitt.

The burial will be private. Shiva will be held Sunday, January 22nd at Rose's home, 18 Cedar Lane, Westbrook, at 4:00 pm.

Donations in Rose's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60691) or alz.org.
