Rose Marie (Ellspermann) Schultheis 77, of Newburgh, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. She was born on October 16, 1932, in Evansville, IN. Rose Marie was a 1950 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School, and she married Lawrence Schultheis on February 9, 1952. During their 58 years of marriage, she was blessed with seven children, nineteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Rosie was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral and the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary. She was involved with PTA and preparing for summer social dinners and, most recently, with the bereavement committee. She enjoyed the many friendships she shared in her garden club, book club, and her exercise group. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her love of flowers and her gift of hospitality. "Rosie's Kitchen" was always open. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Schultheis; daughters, Judy Keith and husband Wayne, of Harrison, AR; Debbie Kremer and husband Bob; and Angie Theising and husband Steve, of Evansville; sons, Michael Schultheis and wife Claudia, of Newburgh, IN; Larry Schultheis and wife Elaine, of Evansville; Patrick Schultheis and wife Megan, of Cincinnati, OH; and Ronald Schultheis and wife Colleen, of Loveland, OH; brothers, Vincent Ellspermann and wife Ruth; George Ellspermann and wife Monica; and sisters, Helen Miller; and Yvonne Sheek and husband Dan. The grandchildren include: Michelle Willis; Christy Isanhart; Brian Kremer; Kelly Paul; John Kremer; Steven Theising; Michael Theising; Andrew Theising; Matthew Schultheis; Sarah Schultheis; Joseph Schultheis; Reid Schultheis; Ryan Schultheis; Ben Schultheis; Jake Schultheis; Emily Schultheis; Sam Schultheis; Chris Schultheis; Charlie Schultheis; and seven great grandchildren. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Rosa Ellspermann; brothers, Reverend Gerard Ellspermann, O.S.B.; Reverend Camillus Ellspermann, O.S.B.; Charles Ellspermann; Francis Joseph Ellspermann; and John Ellspermann. Visitation will be Friday, April 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN. A Memorial Service will be at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, April 24th, at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, with Father Gregory Chamberlain, O.S.B., officiating.
