Rose F. Uriegas, age 86, born on October 8, 1919 and passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Casimiro M. Uriegas; granddaughter, Gina Ruiz; sisters, Emma Amaro, Antonia Vargas, Rachel Heath, Janie Botello; brothers, Joe Fazzito and David Daywood. Rose is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Marquez and husband Jimmy of Houston, Margaret Uriegas and Gloria Ann Corona of Austin; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Joseph; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers at Loyalton Assisted Living, Southwood Care Center and Odyssey Hospice. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ricky Marquez, Stephen Marquez, Paul Ruiz, Jovanni Ruiz, Robert Corona, Keith Corona; Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Patty Marquez, Kristina Loera, Kimberly Corona, Katharine McDonald. Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Her body will lie in state at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, June 5 at San Jose Catholic Church with the Mass of the Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Tom Frank officiating.
