The best aunt a girl could ask for. I will always remember her as being a warm and generous aunt. One of my fondest memories is when I would eat at her house as a young girl she would tell me I had to eat all my soup until I saw the flower at the bottom of the bowl. A few years ago I was able to gift her soup bowls with a flower at the bottom and told her it was her turn now to eat all her soup. We had a good chuckle together. I will always think of her as a light in my life and thank her for loving me and my family. She has gone to be with those she has missed for the holidays and we are left to miss her until we meet again.

I remember going over Auntie Rosemarie and Uncle Hugo's, as a child, where I got to play w/ my cousins while the adults chatted. Auntie always asked me how the job searching was going. (I have a job now). She was a caring woman and I loved her very much!

To Rose's sons and families,

A beautiful life cut way too short for sure. So sorry for your loss. I feel honored to have been able to care for your Mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother, and blessed to have gotten to know her and your extended family.

Rose, I'll miss our Saturday overnights together, talking and cooking together, sharing recipes, sharing stories of family, friends, and hopes and dreams.

I'm glad you're finally together again with the love of your life, and with your siblings, and your parents. I'm sure you'll be happy when Maxine joins you in heaven too. In the meantime, I'm sure she'll be well cared for here.

Back to Rose's family: you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard about Rose's passing, and you will continue to be in the months to come. Healing one's heart takes time, especially in the loss of someone as special as a mother.

Extra prayers and hugs go out to John and Jim's families; so sorry for the loss of both your mother and mother-in-law, (two grandmothers for your children), in such a short period of time. Time will eventually lessen the pain of the losses. In the meantime, I pray that you'll take solace in happy memories of your time together. I'm so glad that you were all able to spend time together with Rose on Thanksgiving recently.

If there's anything that I can help with or any way that I can help ease your family's burden in dealing with Rose's passing, please don't hesitate to ask.

One candle seems not enough for someone who brought so much light into the lives of others. Rest in peace Rose. You'll be missed, but I know that you're in a much happier place, back together again with your beloved Hugo.

It was an honor to have met you and to have provided care for you.

I have to believe that your eyesight has been fully restored; one of the many gifts of heaven that Jesus has bestowed upon you I'm sure.

So very saddened to hear of the passing of one of the greatest ladies that I have known. Rosemarie truly embodied the word matriarch. I know that I am amongst many who will have wonderful memories of her caring presence. May she rest in peace with the love of her life, Hugo, and may all of those left behind know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Deepest love,Lesley
