Rosemary Bozewicz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 2, 2025.
Rosemary Bozewicz, 72, of Albany, NY, passed away on February 26, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 9, 1953, in Johnson City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor (Arasim) Bozewicz.

After graduating from Binghamton North High School, Rosemary pursued her education at Broome County Technical College and the State University of New York at Cortland, majoring in education and minoring in mathematics. As life would have it, she started her first job as a teller at Key Bank, kickstarting a long career in banking rather than teaching. Later, she furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, graduating with honors from the prestigious Graduate School of Banking in 1998.

Rosemary built a successful career at Key Bank, where she was known for her dedication and expertise, and after 40 years, in 2015, she retired. However, in true Bozewicz fashion, she felt the need to stay busy and continued to contribute her valuable skills through contract work before retiring for a final time in December 2023.

Outside of work, Rosemary found joy in making handmade cards, a reflection of her creativity and thoughtfulness. Most of all, she cherished spending time with Jordyn (7), the daughter of dear friends Jeffrey and Jillian Becker, and creating memories filled with love and laughter.

Rosemary was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law John (Ann) Toscano. She is survived by her loving sisters, Ann Toscano of New Braunfels, Texas, Patricia (David) Badger of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, Teresa (Dennis) Barnett of Binghamton, New York, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and dear friends Jeffrey and Jillian Becker and their daughter Jordyn, and Janet Rose. She will be remembered as a beloved sister, aunt, friend, and "Mimi," a title she held close to her heart.

A celebration of Rosemary's life will be held in the fall, her favorite season. Details will be announced at a later date. Rosemary's kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her will forever be cherished.

Rosemary was the "mama" of our group in high school. She was always looking out for the best for us, was kind, fun, thoughtful, and probably the smartest and most sensible of us all. Rosemary was often able to get her Fathers car and take us out on our adventures. Our world is certainly a better place because of Rosemary. Wishing healing to all who are mourning her loss. ,

My Dear Sister, I hold all of our lifetime memories deep in my heart. Rosie was a great Sister and friend to me. Spoiling my children, holidays, vacations, shopping trips and ohh so many family times. The list could go on and on. I miss her deeply.

I worked with Rosemary at KeyBank. She was not only a great co-worker, but a cherished friend. We stayed in contact after we both retired. I will certainly miss "The Boz"

Aunt Rosie, you were loved and will be missed dearly. Many of my best childhood and family memories include you and your bright smile - shopping, Culver's, hanging out with you and Missy, and just talking. You gave the best hugs and were always so loving and generous to me and my children. I still have many of your thoughtful handmade cards and will treasure them forever. May you rest in peace.
