ROSEMARY UNA BUERMANN GULLETT

VICTORIA - Rosemary Una Buermann Gullett, 88, passed away Jan. 2, 2008. Rosemary was born Nov. 21, 1919, to the late Arthur Michael Buermann and Rose Aldeline Musick Buermann in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Buermann retired from the St. Louis Fire Department when Rosemary was 15 and the family moved to a farm in Bellflower, Mo. Rosemary graduated from Bellflower High School. She attended Central Wesleyan College at Warrenton, Mo., State Teachers College at Kirksville, Mo., and later graduated from A&I College at Kingsville.
Rosemary married Richard "Dick" Stephens Gullett on Oct. 19, 1940. She was a teacher and Dick a principal in Montgomery County, Mo. Rosemary was a homemaker while starting her family. The family moved to Texas and she taught school again in Texas at Corpus Christi, Mathis, Victoria and Palacios. When her children were in college, she went into the oil distribution business with her husband. Rosemary later had a department store in Kingsland and then was owner of Gullett's Fashions in Palacios. Rosemary was a member of Retired Teachers Association, AARP, and First Ladies/First Gentlemen, all of Victoria.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannine Adams, and husband, Glenn, of Victoria; sons, Richard "Rick" Gullett, and wife, Sandra, of Houston and Donald Stephens Gullett and wife, Joan, of Victoria; granddaughter, Nicole Gullett of Houston; grandsons, Cody Adams and wife, Terri, of Palacios, Todd Adams and wife, Cynthia, of Vanderbilt; great-grandsons, Tyler Adams, Colt Adams and James Adams; great-granddaughter, Sarah Jo Adams; nieces and nephews, Carol Duensing of California, Norman Johnson and Ted Johnson of Illinois and Anne Wass of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Gullett; mother, Rose Buermann; father, Arthur Buermann; sister, Elizabeth Johnson; brothers, James Buermann and Charles Buermann; and nephew, Larry Buermann.
Pallbearers are Tyler Adams, Colt Adams, Cody Adams, Glenn Adams, Steve Gullett, Daryl Franzen, and Wesley Franzen.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Cuero Hwy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas in Victoria.
Rosewood Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements.
