Rosemary B. Singleton, 79, died Friday, July 14, 2006 at her home. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gambrell Street Baptist Church with Dr. Clyde Glazner officiating. Burial: 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Mrs. Singleton will lie in state at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home on Monday and the family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be given to The Memorial Fund at Gambrell Street Baptist Church. Rosemary B. Singleton was born November 28, 1926 in Lufkin, daughter of the late Frank and Rosalea Hill Brittain. She was a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church and the Fort Worth Garden Club. In her own words, "I was always happiest when arranging and judging flowers and sending flowers to my friends." Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William P. Singleton, Sr., whom she married on July 8, 1954, and whose death occurred on December 3, 2002. Survivors: sons, William Penn Singleton, Jr. and John Mark Singleton; brother, Frank Brittain, Jr. and his wife, Kiyono of Rome, Italy; niece, Maya Brittain.
