Rosemary Taylor, age 83 of Warrenville, Illinois peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, after a long illness at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Rosemary was the long-awaited first child of Margaret (Sauber) Carney and Andrew Carney. She was born in Chicago on September 30, 1940, and grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from West Chicago High School, class of 1958, and attended both the College of DuPage and Elmhurst College in Illinois.

Rosemary enjoyed reading and was interested in history, particularly Egyptian history. She also very much enjoyed decorating for the holidays.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Taylor, son Robert Taylor, daughter-in-law Maria (Loops) Taylor, grandson Ryan Taylor, granddaughter Isabelle Taylor, sisters Margaret Uridge and Anne Carney, brother Andrew Carney, nephew David Uridge, and last but not least her pet doggie, "Cookie".

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Parish (new chapel) in West Chicago, Illinois on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:30 am. Immediately following the funeral mass, a brief graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetary (corner of Washington and Easton Ave) in West Chicago.
