Retired Hydro Québec, WWII Veteran,
Queen's Own Rifles
Peacefully in hospital, Shawville, Quebec, on Sunday, March 9, 2014, James Rossie Beck, aged 91 years. Son of the late William Beck and Mary Tubman. Beloved husband of the late Elaine Eades. Much loved father of Durrell, Charles, Gregory (Bruce) and Natalie (Steve). Devoted grandfather of Darcy, Alexa and Clare. Predeceased by his brother, Erwin (late Lavina) and fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends may call at W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 12:00-1:45 p.m. Funeral to Saint Paul's Anglican Church, 517 Main Street, Shawville for Service at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in Village Cemetery. Donations to Saint Paul's Anglican Church restoration fund or to Saint Stephen's Church, Greermount, would be appreciated.
