Ross Locke Obituary
He was born in Fruitdale, Ala., and had lived in Bay County most of his life. Ross graduated from Mowat and Bay High, and served his country in the US Navy. Ross and Beth were the owners and operators of Flapjacks Restaurant in Lynn Haven. He loved spending time with his friends and customers, and never met a stranger. Ross will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
A time of visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 15,2009. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tully Hunter officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Locke of Lynn Haven; his mother, Verda Locke of Lynn Haven; extended family, Lynn and Lois Harbeson, Brad and Amy Harbeson, Chrissy Lancaster, and their children; his favorite aunt, Susie Harbeson; his beloved baby dog, Blue; and the many friends and faithful employees he loved through the years.

I served with RD2 Locke aboard USS Claude V. Ricketts (DDG-5) In the early 1970s. I knew him as Randy Locke then. He was a good shipmate and friend. He told me if I was ever passing through the area to visit him. I did in 2007. My wife and I met him at Flapjacks where he treated us to a meal and we reminisced about our time in the Navy. He was a good man.

Beth, Ross was such a wonderful person, everyone who knew him would attest to that, from his friends, family and customers. I'll never forget when he had his Mustang and he would take us all home from Bay High. He was generous then and he remained that way throughout his life. May all the wonderful memories you have sustain you through this time.
