Ross "Rod" Anthony Bunt

Ross "Rod" Anthony Bunt 56, of 21 Chesbro Ave. North Adams died Thursday May 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Yaphank, NY on August 3, 1957 a son of Rose (Greener) Bunt and the late John Bunt. He attended schools in Yaphank, NY and graduated from Oneonta College in 1979.
.He was employed for 19 years as a disc jockey at WNAW/ WMNB Radio Station and later as the director of tourism for the City of North Adams. He was last employed as the owner and operator of Love Your Pets, a pet-sitting service. Rod loved baseball, listening to his tunes, watching Ken Burns' documentaries, and animals-- even squirrels. He enjoyed to-do lists and playing fix-it around the house, but most of all loved watching the Yankees while listening to his girls talk and laugh in the next room.
Survivors include his mother, Rose Bunt and wife, Rochelle (Friedman) Bunt whom he married September 19, 1981. Three daughters Alicia Bunt, Angela Bunt and Jacqueline Bunt, a brother Don Watson and sister Mary Roth.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 22, at Mary Immaculate Church in Bellport,NY. Burial will follow in Yaphank Cemetery. A Celebration of Rod's life will take place Sunday June 1, at the North Adams VFW from 2-6 pm.
