Roxanne "Roxie" Muñoz

Roxanne "Roxie" (Heisey) Muñoz, 68, of Allentown, formerly of Kutztown and Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday evening, August 26, 2021 in New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY. She was the loving wife of Nelson A. Muñoz, whom she married on July 16, 1977. Born and raised in Mount Joy, PA, Roxie was a daughter of the late Willis Sando Heisey and Marianna (Ney) Heisey. She was a graduate of Donegal High School, Mount Joy, and The American College of Financial Services and Insurance, King of Prussia. She was employed by Valley National Group, Bethlehem, for 20 years, as an Administrative Assistant, and later as an Assistant Vice President. Roxie enjoyed reading and in recent years, painting watercolor and pickleball. While living in the Philadelphia area, she was an avid volleyball player. Above all, Roxie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband of 44 years, Nelson, Roxie is survived by a son, Nelson A. Muñoz, Jr., Brooklyn, NY; brother, Willis Heisey, and his wife, Bonita, of Michigan, and their children, Meredith and Michael, and their grandchildren, Zoe and Riley; brother, Cory Heisey, and his wife, Chris, of Fallston, MD, and their children, Rachael, Allison and Matt, and grandchild, Savannah; sister-in-law, Rachel (Muñoz) Romero, and her husband, Gregorio, of Queens, NY, and their children, Javier, Jacinto and Irene; brother-in-law, Felix Muñoz, and his wife, Susan, of Dallas, TX, and their children, Erin, Josh, Matt and Isiah; niece and nephew, Frankie and Erica Lang. A memorial service to celebrate Roxie's life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends following the service.
