Roy Carver, Jr. Summerville - Roy C. Carver, Jr., 69, of Summerville, SC, a retired Engineman and husband of Lorraine DiFiore Carver died on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Born in Thomasville, GA on June 18, 1952 Roy was the son of the late Roy C. Carver, Sr. and Reba O'Neil Carver. Roy was a 23-year veteran of the United States Navy. Roy was an avid fisherman and hunter until his was disabled by a stroke. In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, Lorraine, Roy is survived by sons, Roy Carver, III, Brian Carver and wife, Felicia and Jeffrey Carver and wife, Amanda; 10 grandchildren, Austin, Celeste, Izik, Lance, Kayleigh, Hayden, Brian, Jr., Jazlyn, Rider and William and sister, Saundra Carver Majors and husband, Joey. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222. Roy's funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, 5604 New Rd., Hollywood, SC 29449. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared and viewed at www.CarolinaMemorial.com. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Fleet Reserve.
