News Death Notice
COSBY, Roy W. 63, of South Charleston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 1, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer while his beloved family was by his side. He was born on July 29, 1952 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the son of the late James and Bertha (Hall) Cosby. Roy started his career as an automotive mechanic in service management. Later his self-taught love of computer programing became the beginning of a new career, information security engineer. Roy's greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Terry Cosby; four daughters, Judy (Steve) Yoder, Sarah Legge, Jennifer (Montana) Coe and Wendy McHenry; two sisters, Betty Jo White and Nancy (Brian) Lauchard; one brother, Ray (Cathy) Cosby; five grandchildren, Justin "JJ" Legge, Dallas Coe, Jayson, Nathan and Kiersten McHenry; mother-in-law, Eloise Karns; one special nephew, Michael (Rikelle) Cosby and several other nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Nancy, Betty Jo, & Ray, my deepest sympathy for your loss. Some of my fondest memories of Roy was when we all stayed with him & Ray in Florida when Nancy & I were kids (1976!!)and Wendy & Judy were even littler kids. What a summer that was! You are all in my prayers.

Deepest condolences to Roys family. Having known Roy since I was a little boy, I always admired his calmness and was constantly amazed by his intelligence. I'm proud to say that I became a better engineer and man because of his influences. He will be greatly missed.
