Roy Eads

Roy Eads, 86, died Feb. 7, 2012, at his residence. Services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory with Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Beersheba Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Mr. Eads was born March 16, 1925, to the late James Morgan and Ione Honnell Eads. He was retired from Eka Nobel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Woodie Eads; sisters, Beatrice Akin and Etheleen Pace; one grandson and one great-grandson. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Eads; daughters, Brenda Williamson and Debbie Vest; sons, Mike Eads, Ken Eads and John Eads, all of Columbus; sisters, Irene Hankins of Aliceville, Ala., Marie Wallace and Lavell Bennett, both of Columbus; brothers, Herbert Eads, James Melvin Eads and Earl Ray Eads, all of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
