Roy A. Glapion

Roy A. Glapion, November 14, 1942 - June 23, 2022. Roy A. Glapion, Sr. age 79 passed peacefully to a glorious new life on June 23, 2022. He was born on November 14, 1942 to parents Roy E. Glapion, Sr. and Mae Pratts. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was owner of the House of Joy Bar and Convenience Store. Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lauren Davis Glapion and two sons; Roy, Jr. (Tiffani) and Todd Glapion. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Byron Glapion (Maureen), Glendon Glapion, Peter Moret and Curtis Moret. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Bradley Glapion and Gabrielle Glapion Abadie (Ryan), one sister, Linda Glapion Mix (Ellis) and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and relatives of the family. Employees of St. Bernard Parish Public Schools, Isidore Newman Engineering Dept. and Kenner Home Depot are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1835 St. Roch Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117 on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 am.
