I will never forget "Coach"; I always called him "Uncle" as my mom is also a Hokkanen. He will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to learn of Roy's passing, Miriam kept me updated as to his progress and condition since his surgery. I last saw Roy and Virginia at Iron World, Roy loved those Finn Festivals. We mainly drank coffee and told stories, that was the best part of the whole time.

We have beautiful memories of our years in Oklee and our associations with Roy and Virginia and family. Roy stood tall as a fine example of good character for his students and all young people to follow.
